7 Elements or Tools for a great Life

There are 7 Elements to achieve and maintain your emotional and spiritual wellness. We all need to be conscious of and adopt them into our own blueprint. Change your mind change your life. Use your tools and what you have learned. Apply daily to grow and prevent backsliding. Do remember that we are not perfect. Firstly we must love ourselves and see our ourselves honestly in order to grow from there. We are always a work in progress.

1-Intelligence-Adopt a positive attitude. Read and learn new subject matter. Learn from others because they are a reflection of us. Meditate to develop your higher mind. Ask for guidance and accept it. These things in turn will help illuminate and activate your third eye.

2-Unity-Actively work to achieve a cohesive working relationship between your unconcious self (uni) and conscious self (uhane). Make sure your personal environment, whatever that consists of is unified.

3- Creativity-Rediscover your own creativity and use it every day of your life. We are all creative and should honor that in ourselves which allows us to generate new thoughts & ideas.

4-Order-Put your lives in order. Make a step by step plan and do the work. (Finances, work, home, basic routine to regulate your life).

5-Balance-Be careful not to put too much emphasis on one phase. Allow yourself to forgive yourself and others.

6-Harmony-This is agreement in action which enables us to grow in love and light. It is ok if others disagree. Everyone has a valid perspective based on where they are on their path. Value the differences and be open to new ideas.

7-Evolution-Create new thought forms to move forward on your path. Express your true self through your personality, work, relationships, finances, spirituality.

I find a great way to remind myself of whatever it is I am working on at that point in time is to post a list on my fridge or desktop. These are tools. Always keep adding "tools" to your repetoire. We always want to be growing in the light. Help yourself as you help others.

Epsom Salts and a Sprained Ankle

Hello all. This past holiday weekend I sprained my ankle (ouch!). Although I am continuing to use Reiki and EFT (see previous posts for more info on these tools) to ease the pain and discomfort and speed healing, I have also come across another useful health remedy: Epsom Salts. Now you may be familiar with its usage or have been told that it is good for soaking, but if you are at all like me, you may have wondered why and how. My search led me to http://www.epsomsaltcouncil.org/index.htm where many of my questions were answered. I also discovered that the benefits touted are not just folklore but have been repeatedly proven in numerous scientific studies.

Briefly, Epsom salt is so named due to its discovery in Epsom, England back in Shakespearean times and the fact that it resembles table salt. However, its main ingredient is magnesium sulfate. Magnesium is an extremely important mineral component of the human body and regulates many body functions. The scary thing is that according to the National Academy of Sciences, the majority of Americans are Magnesium deficient.

"The National Academy of Sciences, however, reports that most Americans are magnesium deficient, helping to account for our society's high rate of heart disease, stroke, osteoporosis, arthritis and joint pain, digestive maladies and stress-related illnesses, chronic fatigue and a host of other ailments. The Academy estimates the average American male gets just 80% of the magnesium required for good health, while females get only 70% of their recommended levels. Nutritionists say Americans' magnesium levels have dropped more than 50% in the past century"

So why Epsom salts versus a mineral supplement? Basically, Magnesium sulfate can be absorbed through the skin. Actually this type of absorption is more reliable than ingestion as there are other factors (health conditions, stomach composition) than can affect how readily the stomach processes it. From personal experience, I would recommend Epsom salts vs supplements on price alone!

If you are not convinced, do some research of your own and get back to me...........until further notice, you can reach me in the bath :-)
